I can't believe I have two 2 year olds!!

I feel like so much has happened in the last 2 years. Probably because it has. As all parents know, especially new parents...there is no down time. Not to mention we have moved and Carl has started not one but two new jobs. His current position at Enviroissues has turned out to be fantastic. He loves being downtown a block away from the Public Market (our favorite place) and being part of major projects that impact the Pacific Northwest. We are loving being back in Seattle but we are hating the fact we won't have the Sonics to root for next year! Here are some pictures from the last couple months!

They are starting to have SO much fun together...I'm jealous!

Jack LOVES balls...such a boy!

Happy Spring/Summer!

I guess I'm not so good at this blog thing. I have been equally bad at taking pictures! I know it's something that I will regret later! I am actively trying to get better at being the photographer!
We have had a fun filled winter and spring with numerous zoo, play group and Green Lake outings! We had a fun second Halloween and Christmas with the twins, a great trip to Cannon Beach - which was enjoyed by all, a fun Easter and a few other celebrations to count since the last entry. I'll post pictures to fill in the gaps.
We had a fun time on the local TV show NW Afternoon when we were asked to do the Doorbell Chef segment. Neither one of us had anything to do with it...but I got credit - so you can't beat that. It will be something that we remember forever!

Happy Winter!

Lately I have been enjoying everyone's blogs so much that I have been motivated to update ours. We have been enjoying the rainy Seattle winter by not doing much...other then various play dates, birthday parties and the occasional walk around the lake. We are all ready for the sun to shine! The kids are running around like crazy...getting finicky about food and generally moving right along as they should...testing their independence every chance they get!

It's been awhile...

After seven months we are back up and running. We have finally gotten into a routine and things are feeling more normal now that we are settled. We have been busy moving from Spokane to Seattle and trying to manage one year old twins in the process...something I wouldn't necessarily recommend. Sophie and Jack have grown and developed like crazy! Sophie now has 8 teeth and is running all over the house inspecting everything. She is our analytical one...always taking everything in. Jack doesn't have a tooth in his head but keeps up with sis in the eating department gumming all kinds of veggies, meats, and cheeses! He started to walk a couple of weeks ago but much prefers to crawl as he gets to where he wants to be so much faster. He is our little flirt. He is reluctant to wave at anyone other then 20 year old hotties. Quite the ladies man, but he'll give anyone one of his drop dead cute smiles. Sophie said her first word "Dada" in the presence of Grandma and Grandpa Neal, and our friend Jodi...I better start working on "Mama" with Jack. We had our first day at preschool today which was quite an experience. I was excited to see that they weren't too attached to each other or me...although they kept tabs on each others whereabouts most of the time.

The Twins First Offical Vacation

The twins have really come into their own this month. Sophie has really become my observer. She likes to watch and take everything in. She is definitely a girl! If she is people watching, she is happy as a clam in mud. Jack is a riot. He laughs at everything in this really adorable, some might call nerdy, laugh. He is going to be the life of the party, I can tell!
Seems as though every time we get into a routine, it changes. We are finally getting a new one down. Two naps a day, in their cribs...and bed time at 7ish. It's nice to have some time in the evening to reconnect with Carl. It seems like the last 7 months has been a lot (or all) baby.
We had a blast in Lake Chelan with my folks, the baby's first official vacation. We walked all over the town and toured alot of the local wineries which was so much fun! It's really a hidden gem!
Here are some picutures from the last month!
